Dear Miss Chen

The past 2010 for me is quite extraordinary. I experienced the university entrance examination and became a college student. After the end of my first semester, I realized I was totally childish. The real university life is far from what I have imagined during my high school days. Actually, it must become an unforgettable experience- one of joy and failure, opportunities and challenges. I have a clear idea about my own shortcomings. In my friends’ views, I’m very determined and persistent, but I know I’m a little stubborn. There is a desire in me that makes me want to do more and more and to do it right.

Through my observation, my poor oral English has close association with my speaking habit. There are some wrong approaches in my pronunciation. So the rather long winter holiday is a chance for me to practice more. Something must die in order to grow. I will spare no effort to throw my old inappropriate habits off and develop up-to-date habits ,of course meet my current situation.

In addition to study Comprehensive English and Reading English for the rest units. I will listen to VOA standard and BBC standard, imitate their dialect. The detailed plan I will send you within a week.
