Dragon Boat Festival, also known as Duanwu Festival, is a traditional Chinese festival that falls on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month. It is a time for people to remember the great poet Qu Yuan and to celebrate the spirit of patriotism and courage.
Legend has it that Qu Yuan was a loyal minister who was exiled by the king. When he heard that his country was invaded, he jumped into the Miluo River and drowned himself in despair.
