They say reading is important, and it will help him learn about the world around him. They also tell him it is a good habit.
One day, Max was reading a passage about volcanoes. He told his friends all about volcanoes. The next week, his class was assigned(分配)a science project about volcanoes. Everyone wanted to be in his project group. Max’s friends didn’t tease him anymore.
Max ended up being in a group with Liz, Anna and Josh. The assignment was to create(创作)a poster board with information about volcanoes and to build a volcano model.
Max made copies of the passage about volcanoes so his project partners could read about them too. They also went to the library to look for more information about volcanoes.
The group met at Anna’s house that night to organize(组织)the information and decide what they wanted to put on the poster board. They all asked Max. They thought his ideas were the most important.
The next night they met at Josh’s house to build their volcano. They used cardboard and modeling clay(黏土). First they made a volcano shape(形状)with the cardboard, and then

Is Competition Really Good?
The world is full of competitions. All of us have some dreams(梦想)and want to be the best one. But there are more people and less positions. It means not everyone can be a singer or a doctor. So, if you want to become something or you have some abilities, you have to compete with others and prove yourself(证明你自己). This process(过程)is named as a competition. In simple words, it is a process (过程)through which you can show how you are superior(更好的)to others.
The competitions are helpful for us. If someone doesn’t win, it does not mean they are unable, it shows they are not ready and should work harder for the next time. I can say that competition helps us to improve and analyze(分析)our progress(进步, 进展). If you are one of those who work hard, then competition can really be helpful for you and will bring you success. Competition is important because it helps us to know our abilities and helps us to learn more. It also encourages people to become skilled.
There are different types(类型)of competitions. Some of them are organized(有组织

When we compete with people to prove ourselves, it is a worldly competition. It can be organized in schools, communities and many other teams. If you want to be a police officer, then you have to compete with others who also want to become police officers.
There should be a motive(动机)for our life and we should know it and work for it. All of us have different abilities and we can use our ability as our strongest factor(因素)to win. Joining an English club is a good idea. Third, read more English stories and newspapers and watch more English movies. It is the best way to remember the new words in them. Fourth, I think keeping a diary in English is one of the effective ways to improve my English writing ability.
This is my English study plan, and I hope my English will be better. What about you? Please tell me.

I like working with others. Because I think that teamwork is very important in our life. A team is stronger than a person. So working with others is the key to success. Last term I played football in my school team. Although in the team everyone played perfectly, we lost the game at the beginning. Why? Because we didn’t know how to work together. With the help of the teachers, we paid more attention to teamwork, and then we made great progress. Through this experience I feel that teamwork helps me do things more effectively.
