摘要：Provided are a method and an electronic device for performing an

authentication on the basis of biometrics. The electronic device may acquire sensing data

by sensing a target to be authenticated. The electronic device may calculate featureinformation from the sensing data. The electronic device may determine whether thecalculated feature information and stored registered information match each other byusing a dynamic matching scheme in which matching between the feature information andthe registered information is variably performed according to a state of the electronicdevice. When the feature information and the registered information match each otheron the basis of a result of the determination, the electronic device may generate an eventfor authentication success.
