摘要：A composite thermally insulated architectural frame member is provided whichis comprised first metal section, a second metal section and a preformed thermal breaksection. The first metal section has a longitudinal inner channel. The second metal sectionhas an extension positioned within the channel of the first section in a predeterminedspaced apart relationship from the first metal section. The second metal section ispositioned in a longitudinal channel in the thermal break section in a spaced apartrelationship from the first metal section. The composite metal frame member isassembled by inserting the thermal break section laterally into the channel of the firstmetal frame section and then inserting the second metal frame section laterally thechannel in the thermal break section. The dimensions of the respective sections areselected so the sections snap lock together.
